I woke up this morning thinking about this slide. I thought about why I'm on this journey and what I'm looking to get out of it? The answers were sustainability and good health. I've struggled with both for a long long time. I've relied on talent for far too long and when talent wasn't enough I'd retreat and go silent.
Today was different, I woke up with a sense of purpose and wanting to stop the slide. So before I went to work I made my smoothie, it's in the fridge ready for my lunch, I dropped down and did some pushups, core exercises and a rep of 18 temple motions. I went back and updated some numbers on my excel sheet and finally I blogged. It's what I needed to get myself re engaged and start my day with posativity.
Mr. Repay
Great reset!
ReplyDeleteSteady as she goes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sifu
DeleteWe always going to have hurdles and obstacles. Never stop. Keep building up.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sihing
DeleteAgreed, we will all have not so good days, and feeling like this. You can only do what you did, and reset. I’m happy you are feeling positive even when everything isn’t going as planned. And… you blogged about it! Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sihing.
ReplyDeleteAnd you blogged about it. Excellent reset I’d say.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sifu, blogging about it helped with the reset.
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like you're doing exactly what you should. There will always be bad days. When you expect them...or even welcome them as a challenge, they are less of a surprise. I often think the bad days are just as important to the journey as the good. As I imagine Thich Nhat Hanh would say, without bad days, there are no good days....always two sides to the coin...one doesn't exist without the other. And to be quite honest, a life story without conflict or challenges to overcome kind of makes for a really boring story. 😉
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment Miss Ferris. The tough days teach more than the good ones 👍.
ReplyDeleteI concur with everything above, but I think a question we all have to ask ourselves is “why?” Why are we losing traction? Why is it harder to be motivated?
ReplyDeleteGreat question. For me it's old habits and self doubt.
DeleteThere will always be dips but it is when we come out of them that matters. I see you have come out already.
