Refusal

I refuse to write about my failure.  Ever week I could write about this as all I have done this year in my Kung Fu is fail.

On a very positive note, my personal life is very good.  Busy with work but I'm enjoying what I'm doing.  Personal relationships are better than ever and I am very happy to have found the balance in this aspect of my life.

In regards to my training, it is what it is.  I am done with getting down on my self for not attending classes.  It is what it is and I refuse to mentaly barrage my self anymore.  I will get to as many classes as I can when I can.  I'm in a pretty happy spot right now in my life and I'm going to enjoy the ride.  Kung Fu is a big part of that.  Howevever I won't be sacrificing my happiness for anything.  This may sound like I'm being selfish but I don't care, I need to look after me and what matters most in my life.  This may take me away from the kwoon for extended periods.  I will do my best to be at the kwoon as much as I can.

  1. You're doing the right thing, you have to satisfy you first then the rest of the world :) I miss you 'cause you laugh at my jokes!

  3. Im glad to hear that you are in a happy and positive place. Life can bog us down at times and it becomes very easy to loose our way. It sounds like you have found some balance in your personal and work life which has a very positive impact on everything. I am worried for your balance in your kung fu, You have always had an all or nothing kind of attitude and I hope you are working hard at home to maintain what you have learned over the years. Kung Fu is a life skill that requires a lot of maintenance or a partitioner will wake up one day and realize it is gone. I hope you remember that it was your Kung Fu and the disipline it taught that helped you through your course a year ago because if you loose your Kung Fu you will also loose all the benefits you worked so hard to build. Balance in your training is the key to maintaining it. As your main instructor in Kung Fu right now I am worried for you but I have to wait and hope to see the balance emerge in your Kung Fu. " A teacher is never a giver of truth-he is a guide, a pointer to the truth that each student must find for himself. A good teacher is merely a catalyst" Bruce Lee said that many years ago and I feel it hold true to this day. I have always seen a lot of potential in you as an aspiring martial artist. I hoped to be a catalyst for your training but only time will tell. Long winded comment but I don't often get to see you at the kwoon now so this is my best option.
